Matt D. Wieland is an International Manager, Senior Business Coach and Corporate Facilitator with more than 30 years of professional experience. Matt speaks German, English, Italian, Spanish and conversational French and Bahasa Malaysia/Indonesia and has been in Asia for more than 20 years.

He is a highly skilled communicator and motivator experienced in dealing with the Corporate and the Educational Sectors on all management levels. He holds a master degree in Industrial Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT, Germany). Matt is also a seasoned Lean Practitioner in Industrial Services and Manufacturing Environments with UTM (Germany) and a Certified Business Process Coach.

Matt has been managing plant operations and has been involved in strategic corporate business development and large-scale project management for many years and worked in Europe (Germany, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Italy), in the USA and Mexico and in the Southeast Asian region (Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong and the Philippines). He has gained experience in various sectors comprising high-tech electronics, automation, semi-conductor, photo-voltaic, automotive, medical devices, health care, FMCG, machine construction and metal processing industries.

He has successfully directed manufacturing operations with focus on lean production systems, logistics, quality and supply chain management (both for product development, ramp-up and mass production processes) while applying his in-depth expertise in OEE, TQM and TPM manufacturing methods and computerized shopfloor, maintenance and logistics management. One of the focal points of his work is the smart digitization of factories (Industry 4.0) and streamlining of planning, production and quality control steps at the interface of product and information flows.

At the same time as a Senior Consultant and Business Coach he has developed and conducted courses with senior and middle management mainly in the manufacturing, quality and R&D sectors as an integral part of high performance and productivity programs. In terms of organizational development, he is very well versed in establishing empowered self-directed work teams in production and service sector environments.
