LAN Designing:
• Considered various components and their interactions when designing a network solution.
• Developed a basic outline for designing a local area network (LAN) with Active Directory, a proxy server, and a Cisco router.
The implemented network solution ensures a well-organized and secure internal environment. With centralized authentication and authorization through Active Directory, users benefit from streamlined logins. The proxy server efficiently manages internet traffic, offering content filtering and controlled access. Internal network communication is optimized through subnetting and VLAN configurations, improving overall performance. The DHCP server dynamically assigns IP addresses, reducing management complexities. Security measures, such as NAT on the Cisco router and firewall rules, enhance internet security. The network design includes redundancy for critical components, ensuring high availability.
