The application APS, main business objective is the daily preparation and analysis of the (domestic) Banking Book position for performance
measurement and interest rate risk management.
Additionally, APS provides the framework for enabling US GAAP-accounting (IAS39) and for placements of Asset Backed Securities / Credit
Derivatives.
This application layered of multiple languages, like Java, C++, Python and Shell script. The application receives millions of rows of flat data from
various sources. The first layer developed and confiure as cron-job in the Linux is shell script layer, second level developed in the Python, to
enable top level file filter and final data filters are developed in the C++ which segregate data according to business rules and creates flat files
which are compatible with Oracle sql-loader. The application frontend developed in the Java, where we can track and check status of
individual jobs progress and download generated reports via Java application web interface.
The main challenge was to understand each programming language layer and there are various Interest Rate Risk Management & Performance

At the largest German financial institution, Mr. Ahmednashirwala was part of a German commercial banking sub-ledger team responsible for
applications migration NSW.
The NSW, application was developed and running on decade old fashion technology, like java applet and business logic developed in the EJB
2.0 version. Since NSW is the application which supports the German commercial banking sub-ledger for controlling purposes.
We have had to migrate applet to latest application track as per Deutsche bank road map.
The main challenge was to understand existing application flow and business logic for each individual modules which generates various reports
