- Design, build or maintain websites, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media.
- Confer with management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria, or choose solutions.
- Identify problems uncoveredby testing or customer feedback, and correct problems or refer problems to appropriate personnel for correction.
- Incorporate technical considerations into website design plans, such as budgets, equipment, performance requirements, or legal issues including accessibility and privacy.
- Develop and document style guidelines for website content.

- Provide advice on project costs, design concepts or design changes;
- Collaborate with engineers or softwaredevelopers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of system components;
- Perform or direct website updates, development and optimization;
- Document technical factors such as serverload, bandwidth, database performance, and browser and device types;
- Register websites with searchengines to increase website traffic;
- Recommend and implement performance improvements;
- Develop and document style guidelines for website content;
- Develop or implement procedures for ongoing website revision.

- Enabling customers with digital experiences and websites;
- Write, design or edit webpage content or direct others producing content;
