* Created Use Cases with Rational Requisite Pro, including SoDA Reports, for rewrite of Merlin, an
Internet-based infectious disease reporting system used to collect data from the county health
departments.
* Re-engineered and developed Merlin into the .NET 1.1 Framework, with a custom SSO strategy, and
established communication with other systems, such as the Epicom Alert System through a Service
Oriented architecture.
* Developed automated testing scripts with Canoo WebTest, Nunit and dbUnit.

* Developed the Medical Data Management System -MDMS (https://apps.fldfs.com/mds) for submission and

* Created architecture of a multi-tier Teacher Certification System using Microsoft distributed
processing (DCOM).
* Created code generators to implement a Data Access layer with local and remote marshalling
optimization. The architecture offers a centralized middle tier, to which other components (Desktop,
Web and Telephony client applications) communicate, allowing all client components to share the same
business logic. Application server communicates simultaneously to SQL Server and DB2 on a mainframe.
* Implementing a 24-channel T1 telephony interface, and an automated answering system that allowing
specialists at DOE to use their own desktop multimedia systems to listen and answer to voice
messages left by customers through the telephone.

* Implemented data transfer system for BellSouth's Rating System with Direct Connect from Sterling
Software using Unix scripts and C++.
Ÿ Developed C++/Oracle batch system to handle erred usage from BellSouth's Rating System, in a HP-UX
environment. Designed and implemented reusable data access framework, with Pro-C and C++, allowing
the creation of a streamlined object-oriented C++ system without embedded SQL.

* Defined and created architecture for the Data Flow Controller, a message-oriented middleware to
connect educational systems from various vendors implemented in MS C++ and SQL Server.

* Developed real-time assembly firmware for the CD-S Telex Switch operator's console interface.
Ÿ Designed and implemented a Windows/C++ workstation to operate TROPICO, a large-scale
multiprocessor telephony switch. Created dynamic User Interface, driven by compiled operational
manuals.
Ÿ Created syntax for activities and operation manuals and developed compilers to generate a database
driving the user interface. Initially developed in C using Windows 2.13, the system was later
rewritten in C++ for Windows 3.0.
