Domain: Custom Java Application Framework
Details:
I was part of a very small team (~5 people) co-designing and implementing on a
proprietary modular platform (alternative to Spring Boot of Quarkus).
Some interesting aspects involved designing and implementing:
* type-system with bytecode generation at runtime
* object-oriented database, with a query language and parser implemented
with antlr
* modular system with classloader separation
* parallelization of the build process
* JavaScript library compiled from Java sources with generated TypeScript
declaration files for the APIs
* tons of hacking (for the lack of a better word) to achieve seamless
integration of our paradigm with mainstream technologies
