Project history
Deployed as a software engineer to further develop the data and cloud landscape at Heijmans. Responsibilities include ingesting and processing data from Azure via Microsoft Fabric, developing Azure Functions (.NET), building Azure Data Factory pipelines, applying Python/PySpark for data transformations, setting up CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps, applying Infrastructure as Code with Bicep, and developing a flexible internal platform in Blazor (.NET) for form composition and registration management.
Responsible for introducing technological initiatives and optimising the development process and technological infrastructure. Developed new portals using .NET, designed Azure solutions including Data Factory, Service Bus, Function Apps, Web Apps, APIM and App Configuration, contributed to Microsoft Fabric implementation, scripted Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, integrated Vue 3, set up event-driven architecture, implemented SOLID principles and design patterns, designed migration strategy to a new Azure region, and strengthened DevOps culture within the team.
Developed client-specific REST API endpoints using .NET Core, split the monolithic core application into microservices, developed new functionalities in microservices and micro-applications, contributed to the architectural transition from monolithic to microservices landscape, set up pipelines in Azure DevOps, configured and utilised Azure, managed applications, performed maintenance and resolved incidents, and served as Substitute Scrum Master.
