Working as part of the Manufacturing Accounting Project (MAP) Design Team which is a Finance
Transformation project within AstraZeneca, as SAP Lead for the Actual Product Costing (APC) Business
Process for the EMEA region. The APC business process covers the collection of actual cost of
manufacturing for all elements including materials, overheads and other costs and Production
Accounting at month end for detailed variance analysis to enable key inputs for insightful
management reporting and decision making as maybe required. The deployment involves Fit-GAP
analysis, Detailed Solution Design, Documenting the Design Requirements, Exploratory Testing, Train
the Trainer, UAT, Go Live and Post Go Live support.
GSK - SAP Product Director -Corporate Finance, Consolidation and Planning:
Started off as a Senior Consultant within GSK performing a variety of Roles on various projects
within GSK to progress to a Director position. The role covered ownership of a wide Product
portfolio within the Finance stream including the key areas of Financial Planning (SAP BW-IP), Group
Reporting and Corporate Consolidation (SAP FIM, SAP FC), Inter-Company Profit Tracking,
Manufacturing Accounting (SAP Product Costing including Material Ledger), Project system and
Financials (FI-GL, AA/GL) and Trading Partner Functionality. During the tenure of the role got the
opportunity to develop a good overview of SAP's S/4 HANA Enterprise Management.
GSK - SAP FICO LEAD and SAP Senior FICO Consultant - Various Projects:
Domestic M-ERP R2R Lead:
Led the domestic M-ERP deployments covering GMS South Africa (Cape Town), GMS India and Sri Lanka,
GMS Mexico and Panama, GMS Argentina and GMS Algeria sites alongside being the R2R Lead for GMS
South Africa (Cape Town), GMS India and Sri Lanka and GMS Algeria deployments of the Domestic M-ERP
template solution at these sites.
As a Domestic M-ERP R2R lead, my responsibilities included but not limited to leading the teams
typically comprising a mix of strategic service partner colleagues/CWs/permanent employees to
deliver the deployments, guiding the team members, cross team integration with other streams,
representing R2R stream in all Leadership meetings. Also being the R2R deployment lead for many GSK
sites, this involved early engagement with site including senior stakeholders, working closely with
business partners at each phase: Deliver the Solution Adoption Workshops, Business Process Training,
Data Migration Workshops, Day in Life testing workshops, Business Cutover Workshops, Cutover and Go
Live with post go live support including the 1st month end until delivery to the BAU Support team.
MERP R2R Product Costing Consultant:
Successfully designed and implemented the Product Costing functionality within the GSK MERP project
for GMS sites across Europe kicking off with the pilot MERP sites - Aranda and Dungarvan and rolling
out the same to other sites: Evreux, Alcala, Parma, Verona, Poznan, Mayenne, Zebulon.
Being the Product Costing consultant for the pilot sites deployment involved the key Design Phase
for setting up the footprint for the GSK Template for Product Costing. This ranged from Delivering
Workshops to gather the business requirements from the senior stakeholders of GSK, Designing the
template solution based on the requirements collected, Converting the requirements into Business
Process Design Documents, Prototyping and Configuration of the system to reflect the requirements
alongside the typical phases of the projects of Scoping and Planning, Business Blueprint, Detailed
Design, Realisation, Cutover (Ramp up/Ramp Down) , Go Live , Post Go Live including month end
support and Exit to support team.
Additionally, also designed and delivered the Actual costing Material Ledger functionality for
Poznan site.
Addition of the Actual Costing Material Ledger functionality to the M-ERP template due to the legal
requirements in Poznan involved Design of the solution with various options which needed discussion
with consultants from SAP, prototyping the solution, submitting the proposals in front of the SAP
approval board, discussing the solution with all the stakeholders throughout the design phase,
working on issues arising during prototyping and resolving the same, documenting the solution to
make it part of the template and taking this solution from inception through to delivery to support.
Simplify Treasury:
The Simplify Treasury Project is replacing diverse banking partners in Europe with a small number of
preferred banks to achieve simplification and maximize cost savings. Implemented the cash pooling
functionality in Portugal, worked on setting up additional bank account in Switzerland, implemented
the entire change end to end in Norway and Ireland. Additionally, handled warranty items and
additional work items for Finland and Italy.
Other Projects and ad hoc work:
Worked on different small projects ranging from Automated email remittance for Australia and New
Zealand, change of secure messaging service in UK banks from Hexagon to Swift, testing for Global
Reporting changes, review of functional estimates/solutions as and when requested for various
changes.
