Computer Science Student with Frontend Development and Graphic Design Skills

I'm Rachit Singh Rana, a Computer Science undergraduate at NIT Delhi (Batch of 2024–2028) with a deep passion for combining technology and creativity. My skill set lies primarily in frontend web development and visual arts, and I enjoy building interfaces that are not just functional but also emotionally engaging and visually compelling.
I'm well-versed in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python, and I’ve used these tools to develop interactive, user-centric websites. Whether it’s implementing mood-based UI changes, adding custom animations, or designing playful experiences, I enjoy building web elements that feel intuitive and alive. I’m currently working on projects like MoodNest, a mental health-focused web app that helps users regulate emotions through calming visuals, mini-games, and curated playlists. I’ve also collaborated on a mess and attendance tracking website where I focused on the frontend while a friend handled the backend using Flask and MySQL.
Beyond coding, I bring a strong background in fine arts — from acrylic painting and charcoal portraiture to digital illustration. This creative foundation gives me an edge when it comes to crafting visually pleasing and emotionally resonant interfaces. My designs often reflect themes of comfort, calm, and creativity — which I try to bring out using soft color palettes, interactive elements, and smooth transitions. I’ve exhibited my artwork at national-level events such as Pariksha Pe Charcha and TIDE25, and have served as the Graphic Head of the Cultural Club at NIT Delhi and Art Department Captain at KVGM.
I love exploring how small visual details — like a mood switch with animated backgrounds, or an animal that follows the mouse with its eyes — can make a big difference in user experience. My goal is to create technology that feels friendly, engaging, and emotionally intelligent.
Right now, I’m focused on strengthening my frontend skills even further while gradually expanding into backend development and more advanced interactivity. I enjoy learning by building, and hackathons give me a space to push creative ideas into working prototypes.
