I have been managing engineering teams during the past 4 years, being close to the customer and mentoring the key personas, like Team Leads, Agile Masters, Dev Leads. I have a lot of experience working remotely with Brazil, US, China, India, and Europe teams. I love to read and study by my own, and my key certificates are MBA of Leadership and MBA of Project Management. I can also work close to the operation since I have a solid technical background.
Main achievements as an engineering manager:
- Successfully obtained and maintained a U$200k budget during the lockdown
- Account Manager of 6 clients across 5 engineering tribes and 95 people on several locations in Brazil
- Directly mentoring and managing Tech Managers, technical leaderships, HR and Administrative areas.
- Maintained one of the best margins of the company for 3 years, by being close to the customer and always ensure the constant value being measured and delivered.
My daily routine include check performance reports and roadmaps for gaps and reported issues, and talk to each team lead for mentoring them and check their teams motivation. Any time they report problems, I will act to solve it together with them. Most of the times I will identify another risk for the project and suggest how to mitigate it before it starts to be an issue. Other times I will query management or customer if the available metrics are still valuable and propose new ones based on the current problems they want to focus on. I take the responsibility to make sure every stakeholder is well informed and accessed if escalation of a problem is necessary.
