Project: Esfehan Oil Refinery Upgrading and Petrochemical- client: Safahan Petrochemical Co
- Defined the concept of the project in the FEED, Basic and PDP phase and continued to work-out the details of the systems to prepare the detailed documentation for construction, commissioning and operation.
- Managed the flow of information to the team designers, Engineers and remote teams to enable them to prepare project document such as Specifications, Datasheets, Database, Bid reviews, Layouts, Cable Block diagrams, Termination diagrams, Loop diagrams, Hook-up diagrams, Mounting details, Cable list, Junction box list, Bulk MTOs for Cables, Cable glands and Hook-up materials.
- Assisted in developing a project specific system design with all associated documentation (philosophies, layouts, specifications, datasheets, block diagrams, Cause & Effect diagrams, etc., etc.).
- Reviewed documents prepared by team members and sub-contractors to ensure quality and consistency.
- Reviewed vendor data and ensure package units are properly integrated and/or interfaced.
- Acted as package engineer for instrument packages and work in close cooperation with Supply Chain to perform technical bid evaluations.

- Conduct Instrumentation Engineering activities for projects, from initial concept definition phase through engineering studies, FEED, Basic and Detailed design.
- Created and planed work scopes for the project and instrument team members.
- Reviewed P&ID and detecting faults of the control loops and instrument schematics.
- Ensure that interfaces with other disciplines (mainly electrical, piping and process) are consistent and aligned.
- Vendor document review and interactive with the manufacturers and vendors.
- Monitor schedules for engineering activities.
- Review, check, approve/reject of design documentation of the team members.

- Responsible for developing the project instrumentation and Control System design with all associated documentation (such as Specifications, Datasheets, Philosophies, Cause and Effect, Block diagrams, Layouts, etc.) for field instruments- Control valves, On-Off Valves, Flow, Pressure, Temperature and Level transmitters, gauges or switches.
- Sized and calculated control valves and orifice plates
- Act as a package engineer for instrument packages and work in close cooperation with supply chain to perform technical bid evaluation.
- Review vendor data and ensure package units are properly integrated.
- Found some information from 3D model of the plant bout instrument and its nozzles and connections by the Navisworks.
- Determine whether technical deliverables produced by external organizations comply with the required scope and applicable standards.
- Follow-up and coordinating design activities and procurement activities between our team designers, client engineers and other vendors or manufacturers teams.
