Three months contract 40 hrs/week to help removing legacy code of another business unit and in the process modernizing the stack from a fully EC2 hosted into an ECS cluster.
Delivered an interim AWS “legacy” environment in Terraform to maintain business continuity
Rebuilt the platform in AWS ECS using AWS CDK (Golang) for fully versioned Infrastructure as Code (IaC) establishing, in the process, a repeatable CDK patterns/constructs, enabling rapid provisioning and consistent guardrails across environments.
Dockerized the React frontend with Nginx as a reverse proxy; routed /api traffic to the apiserver via an internal NLB
