Description : Stripe is a widely used payment processing platform that provides
businesses with tools to accept and manage online payments. Stripe, a global
technology company that builds economic infrastructure for the internet, acquired
OpenChannel, a leading provider of app marketplace software.
Migration of OpenChannel (acquired project) : I took on the responsibility of
migrating the existing Openchannel Marketplace to the Stripe Admin Dashboard.
This migration likely involved transferring the functionality, data, and features of the
marketplace to the new platform.
Design of the Admin App: I worked on designing the Admin App, which is the
interface for administrators to manage and control the marketplace apps.
This includes creating a user-friendly and intuitive design that facilitates efficient
management of apps and related processes.
Access to Marketplace APIs: I developed various commands to access the existing
marketplace APIs.
These commands enable the communication and interaction between the Admin
App and the underlying marketplace infrastructure.
Backend Development: I developed the backend for this application using Ruby, a
programming language known for its simplicity and readability
Implementation of Admin Service: I implemented an admin service as part of the
application
This service provides the functionality for administrators to easily approve, reject, and
suspend apps within the marketplace
Slack Notification Flow: I integrated a slack notification flow into the application
This allows for automated notifications to be sent to the app review team through a
specific Slack channel whenever a developer submits an app for review.
This ensures timely communication and collaboration among team members
involved in the review process.
Technology Used: Java, Ruby, Mongo, GraphQL technologies and frameworks
provide a robust and modern tech stack for the project. Ruby and Java handle the
back-end development, MongoDB serves as the database management system,
and GraphQL enhances the efficiency of the APIs.
