Project history
Architected and developed core secure digital identity applications emphasizing high-security data transmission, cryptography, and local device storage. Implemented decentralized digital identity protocols integrating OpenID4VCI, OpenID4VP, and OIDC standards. Designed secure local connection features utilizing NFC and BLE hardware capabilities. Collaborated directly with Thales clients to support implementation and introduced performance profiling and code reviews.
Independently conceptualized, designed, and launched an independent application for looking up BMW, Mini, and Rolls Royce OEM part numbers, scaling it to over 60,000 total downloads and 30,000+ active users. Developed the Android and iOS apps as well as the web version. Designed and deployed the supporting custom REST API, database structure, and security mechanisms.
Led the complete end-to-end development of the Android app, including a major rewrite in 2021 and long-term maintenance. Built core application modules including real-time communication, complex geolocation/map services, and secure in-app payments. Managed the transition of the legacy codebase to Kotlin and modern Android SDK architectures, drastically reducing crash rates.
