About me

18 years building industrial software, 10 as a remote freelancer. Focused on high-performance cross-platform desktop apps (C#/.NET, Avalonia) alongside Android (Kotlin) — layered architecture, full test coverage, fast under real-world data loads. Available now, remote-only.

Android Software DevelopmentC Sharp (Programming Language)Software Design PatternsWindows Presentation FoundationSystems Integration.NET CoreKotlinIndustrial Software
Core stack: C# / .NET (WPF, Avalonia), Kotlin (Android), Java. 18 years shipping production software, split between desktop and Android, with a background in industrial/hardware integration that shapes how I build both.

Desktop — cross-platform native applications (Avalonia, WPF)
Current focus. Two self-directed projects, cross-platform (Windows/Linux/macOS), layered architecture with unit, integration, and E2E test coverage — same discipline as my professional desktop work at Bilky (C#/.NET WPF, strict MVVM, enterprise middleware syncing the Bilky Portal with Sage accounting).
Closed source — happy to walk interested clients through the architecture or share code samples on request.
  • LogStation: offline, local-first tool for investigating large technical log files (Android bugreports for now), nothing uploaded anywhere. Makes search and scroll instant on files with millions of lines: indexing pipeline built on System.IO.Pipelines and memory-mapped files, so the source file is never fully loaded into memory. Log formats are parsed declaratively (YAML column profiles, not hardcoded), with a chronological merger for multiple files and a dedicated crash-trace parser for Android bugreports.
  • ScriptCast: pipeline generating full audio dramas from a script file. Parses dialogue/scene scripts, orchestrates batch rendering of voice, music, ambience, and SFX through local ComfyUI workflows (Stable Audio, CosyVoice), then mixes and masters with FFmpeg — loudness normalization, environment-specific acoustic filtering (room/hall/cave/phone), punctuation-based pause timing, chaptered output. Fully async, so rendering never blocks the UI.
Same skill set drives my professional work: async I/O layers keeping the UI responsive under heavy load; multi-threaded execution with synchronized state machines for environments where a race condition means a machine keeps running when it shouldn't (CNC plasma tables, industrial kiosks); data integrity checks bridging systems never designed to talk to each other; centralized telemetry for remote debugging.

Android
Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Koin, Coroutines/Flow, Room, DataStore. Migrated a large Java sales-force-automation app to Kotlin module by module without breaking the data layer; modernized a fleet-tracking app using the Activity Recognition API and background services.

Hardware / industrial integration
Serial protocols, CNC/THC controller integration (G-code parsing, real-time jogging), payment and locker terminal integration for unattended 24/7 kiosks. Why my code defaults to defensive — error recovery isn't an afterthought.

Availability: 100% remote, 10 years as an independent freelancer for clients in Spain, Denmark, the US, and Ecuador. Available now.

I architected and developed Bilky-Sage Connector. It is a high-performance enterprise integration middleware designed to synchronize data between the Bilky Portal and Sage accounting systems.

Highlights:
  1. Designed the desktop suite using C#/.NET (WPF), implementing a strict MVVM pattern with custom XAML converters and resource-driven styling to ensure a decoupled and scalable codebase.
  2. Developed an asynchronous processing layer to handle intensive I/O operations between local databases and external APIs, ensuring 100% UI responsiveness during high-volume data transfers.
  3. Leveraged reactive programming principles and custom enumeration systems to manage application lifecycles, ensuring real-time machine/state feedback and deterministic navigation across management modules.
  4. Implemented robust business logic for data sanitization and integrity checks, bridging the technical gap between disparate software architectures while maintaining strict synchronization standards.
  5. Built a centralized telemetry and logging system with categorized messaging and state capturing, streamlining remote debugging and reducing operational downtime during critical sync failures.

I'm currently modernizing their legacy Android apps:

Pedidos Moviles, a massive, data-heavy Sales Force Automation app
  1. Orchestrated advanced local storage solutions using Room and DataStore, implementing complex database migration strategies across numerous schema versions to guarantee zero data loss.
  2. Bridged modern mobile workflows with legacy backend infrastructures by optimizing SOAP service communication, handling intricate XML parsing and synchronization protocols.
  3. Developed a robust network monitoring system utilizing custom listeners to manage data synchronization intelligently in low-connectivity or offline industrial environments.
  4. Leveraged Kotlin Coroutines and Flow to handle intensive background tasks, ensuring 100% UI responsiveness during heavy I/O operations and real-time data processing.
Localizador Movil, a real-time location and background monitoring app for corporate or fleet environments:
  1. Implemented the Google Play Services Activity Recognition API to detect and respond to user transitions in real-time for automated telemetry triggers.
  2. Designed a custom event bus architecture to manage asynchronous communication between background location services and the core application.
  3. Developed specialized broadcast receivers for activity and location updates, optimized for high reliability and low power consumption in mission-critical tracking scenarios.
  4. Built a robust permissions manager to orchestrate complex Android security protocols.

I led the modernization of GolfMore, a comprehensive digital platform for the golf industry, centered around a sophisticated self-service kiosk system:

  1. Engineered a specialized UI framework for high-traffic touch environments, developing custom reactive components to ensure high-performance user interactions and millisecond-precision feedback.
  2. Orchestrated the integration of diverse hardware ecosystems, including Valina payment terminals and Kerong locker systems, implementing robust asynchronous communication and automated error recovery protocols for unattended 24/7 operations.
  3. Designed an asynchronous synchronization layer utilizing a custom event bus, enabling real-time UI updates for machine states, rental availability, and complex checkout lifecycles.
  4. Implemented a sophisticated logic layer for secure checkouts, incorporating Dynamic Voucher validation, VAT-aware pricing, and multi-currency formatting to support global industrial operations.
  5. Standardized project reliability through rigorous UI testing and automated native installer generation, ensuring reliable behavior in critical field environments.

Developed FireControl, a Machine Control Software for their CrossFire line of CNC Plasma Tables:

Highlights:

  1. Engineered a robust serial communication layer for CNC and THC modules, implementing asynchronous status polling, real-time command overrides (jogging), and automated error recovery protocols for industrial stability.
  2. Developed a sophisticated parser supporting modal/non-modal groups and metric conversions, featuring advanced execution handling for dry runs and pause/resume cycles while enforcing strict buffer limits for safe asynchronous processing.
  3. Designed a custom reactive architecture to manage the full program lifecycle, integrating specialized handlers for arc voltage loss detection and real-time machine state synchronization.
  4. Built algorithmic generators for run-from-line, scaling, and rotations using regex-based command extraction, including safety validation logic that identifies and rejects unsupported G41/G42 compensations.
  5. Developed a dynamic Torch Height Control (THC) system with real-time voltage monitoring, smart offsets and safety-critical interrupts to prevent hardware damage during arc loss or speed cutoffs.
  6. Implemented a multi-threaded execution model with synchronized state machines and buffer management to eliminate race conditions, ensuring deterministic behavior in high-stakes industrial environments.
