DevOps and cloud engineer, 8 years in cloud, 14 in software. I build and run AWS platforms on Kubernetes, provisioned with Terraform. Long-term contracts for the European Commission, Allianz and Raiffeisen. CKA, CKAD, CKS, AWS and Terraform certified.
AWS Cloud Infrastructure
Extensive experience with AWS services including EKS, Karpenter, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, VPC networking, Transit Gateway, Route 53, IAM, KMS, ACM, WAF, CloudFormation, AWS Batch, ECR, EBS/EFS, Kinesis and FIS. VPC and address planning under constrained allocations, and network cost analysis and optimisation.
Kubernetes & Container Orchestration
Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD and CKS obtained 2022), Helm, Docker and OpenShift. Administration of EKS clusters in production, migration from OpenShift to Kubernetes, and a single-AZ proof of concept for non-production using Karpenter node pools and affinity rules, validated with AWS Fault Injection Service.
Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
Terraform (HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, 2021) for provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure. Established as the infrastructure-as-code standard in a multi-account environment, including the Terraform codebase for an AWS estate of several EKS clusters across multiple environments.
CI/CD & GitOps
GitLab CI, GitHub Actions and Jenkins for build and release pipelines in microservices architectures, including Groovy pipeline library behind a Jenkins toolchain. Initial hands-on exposure to ArgoCD for GitOps deployment.
Observability & Monitoring
Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and visualising infrastructure and application metrics.
Security & Compliance
Kubernetes security (CKS), AWS IAM, KMS and WAF. Delivery in regulated environments: banking, insurance and the EU public sector.

Einfuehrung von Terraform als Infrastructure-as-Code-Standard; Erstellung von Terraform-Code fuer 7 EKS-Cluster ueber 7 Umgebungen im Rahmen einer Microservices-Migration. Netzwerk-Design mit separatem VPC pro Umgebung. Proof of Concept fuer Single-AZ-Betrieb mit Karpenter und AWS Fault Injection Service. Build- und Release-Pipelines in GitLab CI.
Administration von Amazon EKS-Clustern fuer eine Banking-Plattform. Implementierung von Infrastruktur-Features wie Linkerd Service Mesh, cert-manager und Prometheus-Monitoring. Provisionierung und Konfigurationsmanagement mit Ansible und Helm.
