Project history
Designed a 75-minute vendor-neutral public workshop on observability covering signal selection, instrumentation intent, traces/spans, safe high-cardinality attributes, collector pipelines, dashboards and SLO/error-budget reasoning. Created PavedPath, an interactive platform architecture portfolio communicating platform, migration, reliability and developer-enablement concepts through sanitized architecture stories.
Produced onboarding guides and worked across a mature AWS/Azure estate with Datadog, Grafana, cloud/service monitors, delivery tooling and operational platforms. Moved into building the internal developer platform, turning repeated operational work into reusable capabilities for engineering teams. Contributed to centralised-observability POCs using the LGTM stack, Grafana Alloy and Teleport to explore tenant federation and telemetry collection across hybrid clouds.
Supported safe migration of production workloads from private datacentres to AWS, spanning application, infrastructure and network observability. Managed New Relic configuration, dashboards and alerts as code with Terraform and Ansible; investigated JVM/process, Apache/IHS, IBM MQ, database and network signals.
