Project history
Validated the design of an Enterprise Middleware Architecture development instance built in Azure cloud. Produced design documentation encompassing existing design work and Azure Infrastructure components, capturing current setup and proposed production design. Provided security configuration, database backups, and disaster recovery. Implemented the design and created the production instance, which was then tested and validated.
Self-employed consultant since 2000, designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions. Roles have been end-to-end, from stakeholder engagement and translating business requirements to infrastructure solutions, through high and low level designs, implementation plans, support documentation, fault diagnosis, and service transition. All projects conducted within ITIL and Prince2 frameworks.
Led delivery of the Virtual Client Service for Centrica, a Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp based solution providing consistent desktop experience across devices. Designed and implemented high and low level designs covering XenApp/XenDesktop, Storefront, PVS, Netscaler, AppSense, AppV, and XenServer. For the Home Office, built and configured a complete virtual environment providing IaaS, including published desktops, Citrix XenMobile, ShareFile Enterprise StorageZone Controller, Active Directory, file servers, SQL servers, and full Citrix stack.
