Project history
Covered the full problem-solving cycle: understanding the business and technical problem, designing and documenting solutions, hands-on implementation, post-production support, and continuous improvement.
Selected projects and outcomes:
- Survey automation: Survey changes depended on engineering teams and could take weeks to deliver. Designed and implemented Node.js automation that removed that dependency and reduced delivery time from weeks to near-real-time.
- Integration reliability: Recurring API failures required ongoing intervention. Identified the failure patterns and implemented retry, monitoring and recovery mechanisms to make the integrations more resilient in production.
- Team enablement: Hosted technical workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions to align people on solutions and make expertise more accessible across the team. Also functioned as Scrum Master, facilitating planning and retrospectives and helping the team resolve blockers and prioritise work.
- Enterprise SaaS integration: Led the technical integration of Qualtrics SaaS into the bank’s internal systems, including secure data flows between customer-facing applications and backend systems. Translated technical discovery and systems analysis into user stories, technical requirements and implementation roadmaps, from overarching system design to detailed technical specifications.
- Automated feedback capture: Capturing customer feedback from live chat and social messaging relied on manual agent handling. Led the technical discovery and solution design for an automated approach that removed the manual step and improved the consistency of captured feedback.
Worked across Adyen’s global payments platform to solve recurring technical and operational problems around local payment method integrations, with a focus on making implementations easier to scale and support across regions.
Selected projects and outcomes:
- Global payment method framework: Payment method implementations had developed different processes across regions, creating unnecessary complexity as Adyen scaled. Designed and introduced a shared lifecycle framework for 30+ local payment methods and worked with teams across Amsterdam, San Francisco, Sydney and Singapore to standardise how payment methods were implemented and managed globally.
- Turned support patterns into product improvements: Looked across hundreds of support requests to identify recurring problems that pointed to underlying product or integration issues. Reproduced the problems through hands-on testing, documented payment flows step by step and provided engineering with logs, evidence and clear reproduction steps. Partnered with product to translate the findings into actionable development work, connecting each fix to both the customer impact and the reduction in recurring support demand.
- Technical solution design: Produced technical specifications, process blueprints, and architecture diagrams that enabled a consistent, scalable rollout of payment capabilities across regions and teams.
