I would like to introduce myself regarding the new build projects of your company. I have more than 45 years of maritime electrical experience, with extensive expertise in High Voltage systems, DP systems, power generation and distribution, electrical propulsion, FMEA proving trials.
Marine Electrical Engineering & Commissioning
Over 40 years of experience in marine electrical engineering, including installation, commissioning, and inspection of electrical systems on offshore vessels, newbuilds, and conversion projects. Extensive involvement in projects ranging from DP-2/DP-3 vessels to hybrid dual fuel CSOVs and pipelay vessels.
Electrical Inspection & Site Team Leadership
Senior Inspector E/I roles at major shipyards internationally, including TERSAN shipyard in Turkey and Royal IHC in Rotterdam. Responsible for daily inspection performance, compliance with international rules and regulations, and reporting to site managers and technical departments.
Dynamic Positioning (DP) Systems
Extensive hands-on experience with Kongsberg DP systems (K-Pos, K-thrust, K-Chief 700), including maintenance, calibration, and FMEA proving trials on DP-2 and DP-3 class vessels. Certified Kongsberg K-Pos DP operator and maintenance specialist.
Power Management & High Voltage Systems
Practical experience with high voltage and low voltage switchboards, power management automation systems (IHC-DIVA), ABB ACU-6000 and ACU-800 frequency drives, and ship power systems up to 54MW/6.6KV. Certified IV/WV High Voltage/Low Voltage by DNV and Siemens.
PLC & Automation Systems
Certified in Mitsubishi PLC basic and Siemens S7 Simatic A1/B1. Experience with Kongsberg VMS, Siemens automation for crane systems, and various vessel automation and control systems including Wartsila main engine control and thruster systems.
Vessel Newbuild & Conversion Project Management
Leadership in newbuild and conversion projects for major marine contractors, including managing teams of up to 35 electricians, coordinating with shipyard design departments, attending FAT inspections, and acting as owner representative during FMEA proving trials.
FMEA & Safety Compliance
Repeated participation as owner representative and site inspector during FMEA proving trials. Certified in VCA Dutch safety standard, BOSIET/HUET, Advanced Fire Fighting STCW A-V1/3, NR-10 Electrical Safety, and ATEX management.
Marine Crane & Lifting Systems
Maintenance, testing, and adjustment of large offshore cranes with lifting capacities up to 5000Mt, driven by Siemens Simoreg and Fuji Electric AC/DC drives. Experience with load measurement systems, anti-twist winches, and pile drive equipment.
Navigation & Communication Systems
Daily maintenance and problem solving of SAM bridge communication, Kongsberg HiPap reference systems, DGPS, Taut wire, Artemis, Fan Beam, and navigation control systems on offshore and pipelay vessels.

Senior Inspector E/I in rotation at TERSAN shipyard in Yalova, Turkey. Newbuild project of 4 CSOV Ulstein double X bow type ST216 hybrid W2W DP-2 vessels with dual fuel main engines and battery electrical storage system. Daily inspections, attending electrical project meetings, supporting local E/I inspectors, attending Ulstein main switchboard FAT in Ningbo China, and acting as owner representative during FMEA proving trials.
Lead electrical commissioning engineer during conversion of pipe-lay vessel McDermott Amazon in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Responsible for testing loading arm hydraulic pipe clamps, A&R system, constant tension umbilical winch, ILUC trolley-travel, power distribution, communication fibre and profinet networks, and performing HAT tests for client.
