I am a senior Organizational Development and Change Manager with more than 30 years of experience in organizational, digital and business transformation. I connect strategy, governance and execution and create practical structures that enable management, teams and professionals to prioritize, decide and deliver together.
My expertise includes organizational development and design, change management, transformation leadership, operating models, governance, strategic portfolio management, strategy execution, team and department development, leadership coaching, business-IT alignment and Agile/Lean transformation.
I develop, restore and reorganize teams and departments by addressing structure, roles, leadership, behavior, culture, collaboration, ownership and alignment with the wider organization. I work at strategic and tactical levels while remaining close enough to delivery to determine whether an organizational design works in practice.
At the start of transformation and coaching assignments, I use maturity or organizational health assessments to establish a baseline. I translate the findings into a focused transformation, coaching or development backlog and use this to manage progress.
My professional toolkit includes Flight Levels, SAFe, Lean Portfolio Management, LeSS, Scrum, Kanban, Lean Six Sigma, Prosci/ADKAR, Systems Thinking, Obeya, ITIL, BiSL and PRINCE2. I also have extensive experience with SAP and ERP environments, Jira and Confluence.
Selected results:
• Developed an underperforming and psychologically unsafe data team into an autonomous, collaborative and productive team.
• Designed a three-level operating model for a municipal safety directorate, including governance, roles, responsibilities and strategic prioritization.
• Established Obeya and portfolio management practices linking objectives, capacity, dependencies and delivery.
• Coached managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and multidisciplinary teams during complex transformations.
• Delivered approximately ten full SAP/ERP implementations and more than thirty roll-outs, upgrades and migrations.
I have worked in government, water management, energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, logistics, aviation, automotive, healthcare and industrial manufacturing. Clients include the municipalities of Rotterdam and The Hague, Brabantse Delta Water Authority, Sitech Chemelot, PostNL, LKQ Europe, ASML, ENGIE Digital, KLM, UCB Pharma, Philips, Heineken, BASF and Siemens VDO.
I work professionally in Dutch, English and German and have delivered assignments in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France.
