Project history
Project: International rollout of a global SAP S/4HANA template following the initial implementation in Germany (Bremen). Preparation and localization of the template for deployment in Austria (Graz) and Poland (Poznan).
My Role & Responsibilities:
- Led the MM/Purchasing stream for the Austrian and Polish rollouts, covering purchasing, master data, intercompany, subcontracting, special procurement and direct-delivery processes.
- Conducted Fit-to-Template workshops and live SAP demos with local process owners to assess requirements and identify gaps;
- Led cross-functional MM/SD/WM/FI workshops and ensured end-to-end integration between purchasing, sales and logistics processes;
- Documented findings and translated local requirements into user stories and functional/technical specifications for SAP enhancements;
- Coordinated implementation of the approved gap user stories with local business teams, global process owners and development teams;
- Performed functional testing and supported sign-off;
- Served as Functional Lead for Condition Contract Management (CCM), including localization of complex commodity-related purchasing and pricing processes
Impact: During the engagement, my responsibilities expanded from functional MM consulting to cross-functional integration and lead responsibilities, reflecting the client’s trust in my expertise and delivery. I became a key contact for complex integration topics across local rollout teams and the global template organization.
Project: International SAP S/4HANA template rollout. Delivery of two pilot implementations at manufacturing plants in Hungary and Romania, covering localization, integration, testing, cutover, go-live and stabilization.
My Role & Responsibilities:
- Served in a dual role as MM Functional Lead and Rollout Lead, taking end-to-end responsibility for the Hungarian pilot and subsequently the Romanian rollout;
- Led the MM stream covering purchasing, inventory management, special procurement, batch management, supplier management, scheduling agreements, integration with PP, SD and other functional streams
- Managed Local Rollout Teams and coordinated business, functional and technical workstreams with the global template organization;
- Owned test planning and execution across SIT, UAT and end-to-end scenarios, including test scenario design and issue resolution;
- Planned and coordinated Cutover activities, led go-live execution and supported plant operations throughout hypercare;
- Reported Rollout status, risks and readiness to international management stakeholders in Germany and the US.
Impact: Initially engaged as MM Functional Lead, I was entrusted with overall Rollout Lead responsibility for the first pilot plant in Hungary. Following its successful go-live, I was selected to lead the subsequent, larger Rollout in Romania, taking responsibility for the complete rollout lifecycle and cross-functional delivery.
Project: SAP system transformation for a German Tier-1 automotive supplier following its acquisition by a Japanese group. Migration of the German plant from the existing SAP ECC environment to the SAP S/4HANA group template while maintaining established business processes and uninterrupted production.
My Role & Responsibilities:
- Designed and implemented core MM/IM and Logistics processes, including goods receipt, goods issue, inventory management, returnable packaging and handling unit management;
- Analyzed and aligned process execution between legacy and target SAP environments
- Defined migration and mapping rules down to field/table level and supported master data synchronization and validation;
- Identified required process adaptations and coordinated them with the local business;
- Supported cutover, testing, productive migration, go-live and stabilization of the new SAP environment.
Impact: This project strengthened my technical consulting profile: I worked deep in SAP processes, data structures and migration logic, managing the technical complexity behind the scenes while keeping the transition for the business as seamless as possible.
