Migrating the team from legacy document generation (Velocity-based Word templates) to MagicDraw Collaborator's web portal, introducing event-driven workflows via webhooks, and improving the team's CI/CD practices and overall development maturity.

Built the bridge between a legacy energy data system and its modern microservices replacement. Designed and developed a Spring Boot application that consumed Kafka events from the new platform and compiled CSV outputs identical to the legacy system — enabling a smooth phase-out without disrupting downstream consumers across 7 energy companies.

Evaluated Apache Flink but chose a simpler architecture that the team could maintain and hand off. Built an AI-assisted CSV diff tool that compared daily outputs across 14 file types and 7 companies against production data, turning migration progress into a visible daily metric. The tool turned what could have been a slow migration into something the team actively pushed to complete.

Worked across two project teams at TKP Pensioen. On the Aegon pension administration platform, implemented new features and led the upgrade to Spring Boot 3 and Java 17 — which required coordinating with downstream applications to migrate from legacy authentication mechanisms to the stricter security standards before we could move forward.
On a second project, built a greenfield Spring Batch API to replace the Kamer van Koophandel's legacy CSV data dumps with their new API.
