I am an accessibility consultant, researcher, and facilitator who helps organisations design inclusive systems, services, products and research that genuinely work for people, including those with communication, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. I am a speech and language therapist and post-doctoral research fellow, with over a decade of experience working across accessibility, health, technology, ethics, and inclusion in the UK and internationally.

My work is research-led, practical, and grounded in real-world complexity. I have led and delivered large, multi-disciplinary programmes of work using a wide range of mixed research methods, including interviews, focus groups, observations, experience-based co-design, surveys, systematic reviews, implementation science, and behaviour change approaches. I work confidently across academic, clinical, policy, and technology settings, translating complex evidence and accessibility requirements into clear, usable, and proportionate solutions.

I am internationally recognised for my leadership in patient and public involvement and co-design. I have led and facilitated inclusive practice across research, healthcare, and policy contexts, developing and embedding governance structures, guidelines, policies, and ethical frameworks that improve accessibility, inclusion, and decision-making. I support organisations to build capability through tailored training and e-learning, underpinned by a strong publication record, including peer-reviewed papers, book chapters, and the editing of a special journal issue. This work has been recognised through multiple national and international awards.

Alongside consultancy and research, I bring extensive facilitation, education, and leadership experience. I have delivered over 100 national and international conference presentations, including award-winning talks, and have organised and chaired major conferences and symposia. I have taught across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supervised students at all levels, and mentored clinicians and early-career researchers. I have also served as an executive board member of a national charity, contributing to governance, strategy, and successful fundraising initiatives.

I work across countries and sectors, including international organisations, academia, charity sector, healthcare, finance, and media, bringing a pragmatic, systems-level perspective to accessibility. If you are looking for thoughtful, evidence-based accessibility expertise that leads to meaningful change, I would welcome the opportunity to work with you.

What I offer:
  1. I help organisations design products, documents, & processes that are genuinely accessible, practical to implement, and inclusive by design.
  2. I can design, develop, lead and conduct research.
Examples:
  1. Accessibility audits
  2. Plain language & accessible content
  3. Accessible service & process design
  4. Training & capability-building
  5. Ongoing advisory & strategic support
