Senior Technician in Multiplatform Application Development; Agricultural Technical EngineerAbout me
I am Simón Sevilla, Engineer and Multiplatform Application Developer with over six years of experience in application development and support, incident resolution, and designing reliable and scalable solutions, using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Spring-Cloud, Docker, and React.
I have over six years of experience as a J2EE Analyst and Senior Developer, contributing to projects across public institutions and financial organizations.
I hold a degree in Agricultural Engineering (2014) and later discovered my passion for software development after taking an introductory HTML5 course, which led me to complete a J2EE training program at Sopra.
Afterward, I obtained the Senior Technician in Multiplatform Application Development qualification, and I have since built a solid career as a Java developer, gaining experience across various public and private sector projects.
I began my journey at Amatech in Donostia, where I maintained and modernized municipal and provincial web applications using Spring, Struts2, JSP, Bootstrap, and DB2.
Later, I joined Second Window, where I worked on several projects including Mapfre, Ester.cat, and the Bank of Spain, developing and supporting enterprise applications, migrating legacy systems to microservices, and implementing REST APIs with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Docker.
More recently, at Tragsatec, I developed a new application for the Ministry of Agriculture to manage financial aid, using React, Spring Boot 3, Hibernate, Postgres, and JasperReports, within an Agile/Scrum environment.
Throughout my career, I’ve gained strong skills in backend development, REST API design, microservices, and DevOps tools, complemented by solid experience in frontend technologies like React and React Native.
I’m now seeking a new challenge where I can continue growing as a full-stack Java developer and contribute to innovative projects.
