RESPONSIBILITIES:


* As a TSM Administrator, Currently handling Novartis pharma project for all types of
issues with TSM and TDPs.
* Working on 75 TSM backup servers running on Windows, Aix and Linux platforms
and 80000 clients across the world.
* Working on Tivoli Storage Manage Servers with 5.5.x, 6.3v and 6.x, 7.x version Clients
for L3 support.
* Transitioned 9 sites for TSM servers, Improved backup success rate

from 93 to 99%.

* Handling day to day escalations related to Backup/Restoration.
* Proactively identify issues and risks that may impact success of the project
* Analyze and Resolve difficult/complex incidents affecting the operations.
* Record and assure visibility of identified issues to concern department.

* Scheduling, Load balancing, Housekeeping of Backups and TSM servers
* Configuration and troubleshooting of LAN Free Backups
* Windows, AIX/LINUX/HP-UX/SOLARIS Restore/Cross server Restore

* Service Management: Manage issue logs, action plans and records
upon issue resolution. (Change/Incident/Problem Management)
* Vendor Coordination: Driving various Issues/Cases logged with vendor to closure.
* Monitoring and troubleshooting the Scheduled backup tasks, Addition of new nodes,
o Scheduling and Associations, Load Balancing, Restoration and Decommissioning
of servers.
* Service Improvement Plans :I have contributed 15 Ideas to project which is helps to
save 1Million $ and consistently stabilizing the project.
* Auto Mation :Implemented the automation task on backup Missed/Failed category
for backup tool(TSM)
* Scripting: Managing OS based shell scripts and implemented the
various reports on backup server




* TSM VE Implementation: Implemented the Virtual Environment
backup solution on 9 sites and separated the Production and Non
production data and proposed the proxy servers layout.




Disaster Recovery:
* Independently handled and successfully completed the Three DR
activity in 2014(For Novartis)

* Handling all DR activities , coordination with teams and nomited as
DR spoc.

* Handling DR activities for APAC and EMEA region servers such as
ITRV(Italy),THBK(Thailand),SGKC(Singapore),ITOR(Italy),

* Got the Certification of Recognition from the Novartis - Andrea
for Best Efforts and Excellence

* Four times achieved the super star of the month from Backup team
for my excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

TSM SERVER MANAGEMENT:

* Performing daily HEALTH check of all TSM instances

* Configuring TSM DB, Recovery LOG and Storage Pools as per the Client requirements

* Configuring SERVER process like Expiration, Storage Pool Migration, Collocation and

Reclamation of TAPE Storage Pool Volumes.

* Checking administrative schedules like DB BACKUP, BACKUP STG; if any failures

working on it based on the priority.

* Registering nodes to the proper Policy Domain and associating to schedules.

* Creating second instance in existing backup server.

* Node migration from one instance to other instance




* Experience on TSM instance recovery by using DR plan file.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Health check of the servers and Checking Reports,
* Checking activity log for any HARDWARE or Application related errors
* Working on Problem and Change Management Tickets.

* Working knowledge on TWS scheduling and reporting server

* Dailey checking in vault tapes in library and send the report to offsite

* Checking administrative schedules like DB BACKUP, BACKUP STG and client

schedules; if any failures working on it based on the priority.

* Maintaining minimum number of scratch volumes as well as cleaning cartridges.

* Working Knowledge on TDP SAP and Flash copy's

* Estimating & Managing TSM DB, Recovery LOG and Storage Pools.

* Configuring SERVER process like Expiration, Storage Pool Migration and Reclamation

of TAPE Storage Pool Volumes.

* Checking activity log for any HARDWARE or Application related errors.

* Import and Export Server/Client information from one TSM SERVER to Other or in

remote systems.




* Configuring IBM 3584 library, device class, paths and drives at OS level and in TSM.

* Exposure on restoration TSM DB, Upgrade DB based on the company requirements.

* Coordinating and follow up with Onsite team for all hardware related issues to raise

a call with IBM to replace the hardware and for outage.
