*Providing support to the Scrum Teams using a servant leadership style and leading by example.
*Guiding and Coaching the Scrum Teams and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and
values
*Guiding and Coaching the Scrum Teams on how to get the most out of self-organization
*Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of
maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
*Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel
*Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame,
retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on team work and problem solving.
*Preparing, moderating and post-processing daily stand-ups, planning sessions, demos, reviews and
retrospectives.
*Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
*Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating
information
*Supporting and educating the Product Owners and Business Analysts, especially with respect to
refining (aka grooming) and managing the product backlog.
*Supporting the Release Managers and the release process.
* Working with other Scrum Masters within the organisation to ensure consistency of process across
all teams
*Mediating the general conflict of goals between development team (high technical quality) and
product owner (more features)
*Assist Product Owners to report to the business on progress against business goals (Team metrics
and analytics)
