The Humportal project has reached an exciting milestone with the decision to migrate from Nuxt.js 2 to Nuxt.js 3, a move that promises enhanced performance and greater flexibility. This transition represents a significant endeavor, requiring meticulous planning and thorough testing to ensure a seamless migration process.
As part of this initiative, the team has diligently prepared a comprehensive test plan to validate the functionality and stability of the Humportal platform following the migration. The test plan encompasses various aspects of the platform, including the core functionalities, country dashboards, and additional visualizations aimed at enriching the Humanitarian Data Portal experience.
The testing process begins with a thorough evaluation of the migration process itself, ensuring that all components and dependencies are successfully updated to Nuxt.js 3 without any compatibility issues. This initial phase involves meticulous scrutiny of the codebase, configuration files, and third-party libraries.
- Select and evaluate learners to be recruited at the coding school for different waves.
- Support and supervise students or graduates on internships at the coding school in the development of their technical solutions,
- Provide training, coach and reinforce the knowledge of learners
- Supervise, lead and plan the work of a team while ensuring the development of the team’s skills,
- Supervise the IT projects developed at the Coding School in synergy with the other Orange Digital Center programs:
- Manage all the activities of the Coding School: validation of concepts and realization of training, Talks, projects, internships, partnerships, hackathon
- Design and development of programs within the coding school and other components of the Orange Digital Center program
- Participate in the roadmap of activities offered at the Coding School and be a force for proposals,
- Worked with a team of expert coders to write maintainable code and maintain existing software to improve performance and fix bugs
- Consulted with clients to identify their projects’ specifications and follow up with deployed applications’ status and any technical issues
- Continually identified areas that needed improvement and worked with a team of developers in measuring the level of adjustment required
- Interfaced with clients in person or via videoconferencing to discuss project goals, aesthetics, and requirements
- Wrote maintainable and extensible code in a team environment
