I am a freelance software engineer with over 19 years of experience designing and developing software for complex and business-critical processes.

My strength lies at the intersection of software development, architecture, and system integration. I enjoy understanding complex processes and systems and translating them into software that is flexible, reliable, and maintainable.

My technical foundation is C# and .NET. In my current projects, I work with technologies including .NET 10, Azure, Cosmos DB, SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, Angular, and Microsoft Graph. I also have extensive experience integrating external systems through REST and SOAP, including enterprise systems and industrial environments.

A significant part of my experience is in the fields of MES, production planning, and industrial automation. For example, I have worked on solutions where software communicates directly with Siemens S7 PLCs and integrates with SAP. At the same time, I currently work on modern cloud platforms where flexibility and configuration are key.

In my current assignment, I am responsible for the backend architecture of a flexible software platform. The platform was designed from the ground up to support different customers, processes, and applications through configuration. The backend is built using Clean Architecture and integrates with a wide range of external services and APIs.

I enjoy working independently and taking responsibility for a solution from end to end: from understanding an existing problem and designing the architecture to development, integration, and optimization. At the same time, I value sharing knowledge and working closely with other developers, architects, and stakeholders.

Alongside my work as a software engineer, I am a board member of Master Ski Racing Nederland, a foundation where technology, entrepreneurship, and my passion for competitive skiing come together.

I have been working as a software engineer on the development of a highly flexible software platform designed to support a wide range of business applications. Examples include transport planning, workforce planning, and onboarding of temporary workers.

Within this project, I am responsible for the backend software architecture and have been involved in the design and development of the platform from the start.
