We are looking for an Assistant Buyer to work within the healthcare sector.
Location: Hybrid working- Leeds
About the role: The assistant buyer will support the buying team and will look to drive new business opportunities to increase market growth and provide savings to the NHS
Essential Skills:
The ideal candidates will have a proven Assistant Buyer background with following skills/experience:
- 2 years' experience within a Procurement department and/or relevant industry experience
- Knowledge of procurement categories (ideally NHS) and public sector procurement processes such as OJEU or PCR 2015
- Experience of supporting the Procurement process for RFI, RFP, E-procurement, negotiation and vendor management in relevant categories.
- Experience in delivering cost savings
- Able to meet customer requirements by demonstrating the best value for money
It would be great if you also had
- Public Sector or NHS exposure is desirable
- CIPS or willingness to undertake
- Supplier interaction experience
- Knowledge of procurement portals such Contracts Finder
