AWS Redshift DBA
A leading digital tech company are looking for an AWS Redshift DBA on an initial 6 month contract, outside IR35, hybrid working in central London (2-3 days per week office based, rest remote).
This role will be focused on building a process that will combine both Data Engineering practices and processes with warehouse management on AWS Redshift to allow us to ensure we are able to recover effectively in a disaster scenario.
What will it take to be successful?
Essential:
Experience with AWS Redshift ideally in a DBA capacity
Experience building procedures using SQL or Postgres SQL
Performance Monitoring and Tuning, back-up and restore strategies, replication techniques on Redshift or similar Cloud based Warehouse technology
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired:
- Knowledge of Data Engineering practices
- Experience of Agile practices
- Knowledge of Testing best practices for Databases
- AWS RDS, S3 and Athena experience
- Mongo DB
