Role & Responsibilities
• Manage level 2 Backup administration and provide Production Support.
• Support L3 SMEs in escalated incidents and critical tickets.
• Perform Daily Health Checks covering Backup Infrastructure.
• Maintain Scratch Tape count for Backup continuity.
• Re-run of Backup Jobs and Admin Jobs.
• Support escalated issues from L1 Administrator.
Specific Domain/Technical/Functional skills
• Strong knowledge and Hands-on in IBM Spectrum Protect tool and its related concepts and troubleshooting skills.
• Good knowledge of SAP HANA DB, Oracle DB and SQL DB Backup and Configuration.
• Configured LAN free clients and good at troubleshooting of LAN free backup failures.
• Coordinate with Vendors and OEMs for technical issues.
• Perform File and Folder Restores.
• Perform Full System Recovery.
• Support L3 SMEs in Backup Software Upgrades.
• Periodic and scheduled reporting of backup success rates and KPI metrics.
• Troubleshoot OS and Application Backup issues, Capacity issues and increased resource consumption issues.
• Work on Backup and Restore service requests.
• Good Knowledge of ISP Monitoring and Reporting Tools.
• Possess a good knowledge in tape library and tape drive concepts and troubleshooting.
• Support in Delivering of Backup SLAs and KPIs.
• Support L3 Engineers in Root Cause Analysis.
• ITIL Certification preferred.
• Good on documentation and presentation skills.
