Assignment Details

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support the delivery of key card payment initiatives, with a strong focus on the implementation of card tokenization capabilities.
This is a long-term banking assignment based in Brussels, working on a hybrid basis with 3 days per week onsite.
The consultant will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, payment scheme partners, technology providers, vendors and development teams, ensuring successful end-to-end delivery while maintaining alignment with regulatory, security and customer experience requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements, functional specifications and target operating processes.
- Support and coordinate the implementation of card tokenization capabilities.
- Coordinate integration activities involving payment schemes, issuers, processors, wallet providers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage dependencies, risks, issues, milestones and delivery follow-up.
- Validate solution design and ensure alignment with business objectives and customer journeys.
- Support testing activities including UAT preparation, execution, defect management and production readiness.
- Manage vendor governance activities, action follow-up and escalation where required.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, RAID logs, action plans and status reports.
- Organise and support steering committees, working groups and stakeholder meetings.
- Provide clear executive-level reporting on progress, risks, dependencies and decisions.
- Ensure effective communication across all project stakeholders.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial services, preferably within payments, cards or digital wallets.
- Strong experience or exposure to card tokenization, digital payment solutions, card schemes or wallet technologies.
- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst.
- Experience delivering complex payments projects involving multiple stakeholders and third-party providers.
- Experience supporting project governance, testing coordination and go-live readiness.
- Ability to manage external vendors and technology partners.
Nice to Have / Strong Assets
- Knowledge of Click-to-Pay.
- Experience with card-on-file tokenization.
- Experience with network tokenization.
- Exposure to card schemes, issuers, processors, wallet providers or e-commerce payment technologies.
- Experience with payment scheme or processor delivery follow-up.
