Business Development Executive

Salary circa £30k basic plus commission 

Office based in Wetherby, Thorp Arch, North Yorkshire – car driver essential and must live within a commutable distance

Full time

The job role involves proactively creating leads, enquiries, and sales visits for the external sales representatives, through telesales, direct emails, and other means such as post. A strong understanding and preparedness to use LinkedIn to seek out new prospects, raise awareness, and generate leads would be highly beneficial. The successful candidate would also need to be able to nurture incoming enquiries and outstanding quotations to move them to the next stage in the sales process, with the ultimate goal of increasing sales. There is also a need to keep in touch with key customers periodically, to ensure their spend is maximised.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using Word, Excel and other computer software, including the use of LinkedIn to find and engage with prospects
  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Ability to adjust accordingly to suit the target market
  • Manage time effectively to maximise customer contact time.
  • Work as a team - communicate with other sales team members informing them of successes, prospects and opportunities.
  • Accountability – be accountable for any tasks you are given to undertake ensuring your job is completed to the best of your ability.
  • Develop a sound knowledge of the product ranges supplied including a grasp of the market segments.
  • Work to set KPI’s set per week making calls/ sales appointments via phone, emails and LinkedIn
