Role: Management Information specialist (Business Objects)
As a minimum experience in BOBJ - SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.2 Support Pack 2 Patch 9 Version:
Duration: 3 Month Contract
Location: Nottingham (Remote working due to Covid)
The main responsibilities for the role are:
Business Objects "system" Ensure, through working with IT, that the Business Objects desktop and mobile reports (including the mobile app) provides a great customer experience and that all issues are properly dealt with and adheres to agreed SLA's. Access to reports is controlled and governed.
Report Development - Develop and deliver innovative reporting to business users using the Business Objects platform. Ensuring that reports provide the right the key metrics and insightful. Mobile reports being simple to use and quick to download. Streamline and consolidate reporting where appropriate.
Maintain robust development and support processes when SQL is used.
Ensure team is prepared for agreed upgrades and aware of the key changes which we intend to implement.
External View
Provide external input in to our BOBJ development through enhancing our relationship with the user group and SAP.
All responsibilities of a BI Reporting Analyst, plus:
- Responsible for all technical aspects of the project from design, development through to the day to day support
- Customer facing aspect to gather requirements, demonstrate reports and provide training sessions to wider business
- Investigate capabilities of current and future versions of BusinessObjects, providing 'proof of concept' ideas to demonstrate to the team and wider business where applicable
- Application of in house best practice - work with/within central MI team but with Matrix reporting into finance/transformation
- Handing over to central MI team for support and BAU with relevant support documentation
