Description

Projektziel: We are developing a Warehouse Control System (WCS) that coordinates and controls automated warehouse equipment in real time. The system sits between the WMS/SGA and ERP layer (which determine what needs to move) and the physical equipment with its PLC/industrial PC controllers (which execute the movement).

Hauptaufgaben:
- Low-level control layer in C/C++: communication with equipment and controllers via industrial protocols such as OPC UA or Modbus, movement commands, sensor reading, and timing synchronization for robust and deterministic 24/7 operation
- Orchestration logic: translating WMS/SGA orders into movement sequences including routing, prioritization, flow balancing, and real-time exception handling with automatic rerouting
- Operator interface in C#/.NET (WPF, WinForms, or Blazor): supervision and control dashboard with equipment status, flow visualization, alarms, KPIs, and manual intervention capabilities
- Bidirectional integration with WMS/SGA and ERP systems
- Database implementation for configuration, item traceability, event history, and operational reporting

Voraussetzungen:
- Proficiency in C/C++ for low-level control development
- Proficiency in C#/.NET with experience in WPF, WinForms, or Blazor
- Experience with industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA and Modbus
- Knowledge of PLC/industrial PC controller communication
- Experience with WMS/SGA and ERP integration
- Ability to write maintainable and documented code

Erwartetes Ergebnis:
- A modular WCS capable of controlling conveyors, sorters, AMRs, Pick-to-Light/Put-to-Light systems, and RFID tunnels (optionally AGVs or stacker cranes)
- A system meeting the key requirements of reliability, low latency, high availability, scalability, and maintainable, documented code
