Description
We are seeking in Bangladesh a skilled CakePHP Developer to migrate, curate, maintain and extend our Solorrow backend. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in CakePHP 2.x development and proven experience in transitioning or upgrading projects to the latest version of CakePHP.**Responsibilities:**
1. Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using CakePHP 2.x.
2. Upgrade existing CakePHP applications to the latest version (CakePHP 4.5.1).
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
4. Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.
5. Work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements.
6. Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
7. Migrate Azure App Service to Azure VM (in a docker container)
**Requirements:**
1. Proven experience working with CakePHP 2.x.
2. Demonstrable experience in transitioning or upgrading CakePHP applications to the latest version.
3. Confident in migrating Azure App Service to Azure VM’s docker container.
4. Strong understanding of MVC architecture and CakePHP conventions.
5. Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
6. Experience with version control systems such as BitBucket or Git.
7. Knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS) is a plus.
8. Familiarity with RESTful API development
9. Understands HTTP Authentication Schemes (Basic & Bearer)
10. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
11. Experience with Xamarin for Andriod and iOS will be considered as a plus.
12. Excellent communication in English and teamwork skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
1. Prior experience with CakePHP 2.x. and CakePHP 4.x or later.
2. Experience with other PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
