Main Activities/Responsibilities

The job holder will be required to undertake the following duties and responsibilities:

" Day to day management and coordination of public appointment campaigns, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time and with strong engagement with policy colleagues.
" Ensure public appointments work is compliant with the Commissioner for Public. Appointments Code of Practice (OCPA) and continuously review public appointments process to ensure a consistent and transparent approach, identifying where improvements can be made.
" Draft high quality Ministerial briefing, providing timely and accurate advice on Public Appointments campaigns.
" Act as a key point of contact for sponsors and colleagues across BEIS providing clear expert advice and guidance on public appointments policy and process.
" Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders, including senior civil servants, policy teams, and panel members.
" Be able to deliver multiple projects at once, with limited supervision.
" Regularly monitor progress across one's own campaigns and across the wider team.
" Be aware of the various influences on the appointment process, and understand how this impacts on your campaigns
" Be focused on excellent customer service, and be committed to keeping customers updated on the progress of their application
