Major UK Telecommunications company has the urgent need for a contract Category Manager to join the organisation and deliver optimum value for money and cost savings.
As the succesful Category Manager you will take responsibility for:
*A category of spend and develop a strategy to support the overall business inititatives that provide a platform for continous cost reduction and continued supplier performance
*To ensure the commercial and contractual relationships and frameworks are created and adhered to
*Focusing the sourcing activities on the areas of most value to the business in terms of spend, risk and service provision
*Taking ownership and implementing an agreed purchasing strategy, developing, extending and changing it as necessary
*Managing the commercial aspects of the relationship within the category with suppliers and define the supplier KPIs and SLG's for contract development
*Working with stakeholders on their forecasted projects for future buying requirements
*Communicating with stakeholders and management to ensure that the Purchasing strategy, approach and process for category is understood, agreed and complied with
The key attributes for this role are:
*Demonstrable experience managing Procurement initiatives within a fast moving environment
*Able to effectively collaborate with and influence stakeholders
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Enthusiastic and motivated team player who contributes to a positive team dynamic
