CDMA/LTE Deployment Operations RAN Engineers are required for this new contract. You will be required to perform the following duties;

  • Work in a team environment to support, understand and troubleshoot the customer RAN network (understand CNDDs, provisioning scripts, config files, etc) to support the deployment of CDMA and LTE base stations.
  • Respond directly to calls and request into the call center and troubleshoot problems as well as support internal teams with maintenance activities. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CDMA cell site problems
  • Ensure base stations are operational (links are up, alarms clear, etc sites ready for RF teams, and live traffic)
  • Interface directly with deployment and development teams which include installation, RITC, RF, PM's, FOA, etc..  to resolve site problems
  • Execute procedures and tools in place to support on time RAN delivery
  • Provide operations support to the RF team in their optimization activities by creating as well as running work orders to make parameter changes when needed.
  • Execute risks and contingency plans, and escalate quality issues

Required Qualifications:  

  • BS degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.  Master's degree a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Wireless Industry (preferably working on CDMA and/or LTE network), with hands on experience supporting base stations on a live customer network.
  • Previous hands of experience with ALU CDMA cell sites in a live customer network.
  • Proven strong troubleshooting skills in a technical support role vs. deployment.
  • In-depth knowledge of the transport network including Alcatel 7750s and 7705s, a plus.
  • Strong IP knowledge in IP Addressing, subnetting, routing protocols, VLAN, MPLS, etc required.
  • ALU Service Routing Certification (NRS-1 required) and Cisco Certification (CCNA).  NRS2, CCNP/CCIP/CCIE and JNCIP/JNCIE are highly desirable.
  • Strong teamwork, good communication and documentation skills;
  • Good inter-personal skills with a positive can-do attitude required
  • Experience teaming with other ALU service delivery teams is necessary
  • Availability for shift work and on call activity is required.
