Description

The Change Management - Technical Analyst will be required to make an appropriate response to change requests requiring a considered approach to assessment of risk and business continuity, change impact, resource requirements and change approval.

Must be able to maintain the balance between the need for Change against the impact of the change. Needs to establish and maintain strong working relationships with the technology teams and the business. This role is high profile and challenging, requiring good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review of all changes to production environments for clarity and completeness, to ensure appropriate due diligence has been carried out, including evaluating risk and impact, with a view to accepting or rejecting the request
  • Ensure the risks, benefits, and dependencies for each change is well understood
  • Ensure effective post implementation reviews on failed changes
  • Carry out regular change management audit control checks, and other data quality reviews
  • Maintain and publish the forward schedule of change calendar, and change awareness period notifications
  • Mediate conflicts related to a change where necessary
  • Coordinating changes to minimize the business impact of downtime
  • Provide governance and oversight for Change Management procedures
  • Identify and highlight opportunities for continual process improvement to the process owner
  • Provide reports for senior Stakeholders and external customers
  • Chair regular meetings (eg Change Advisory Board, Forward Schedule of Change)
  • Maintain change documentation (procedures, templates, etc.)
  • Train and provide guidance to change requestors and change approvers
  • Engage with other service management functions such as incident and problem management

Qualifications and Experience

  • Third level qualification desirable or industry certification, ITIL, etc.
  • 2+ years of professional experience
  • Relevant experience in technology change management related to transformation programs (stakeholder assessment, change impact analysis, organization design, communication planning, training support and business readiness)
  • Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken)
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communications competencies
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and multiple commitments/projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
