CIO with OTC PARIS FRENCH SPEAKER - contract
MUST HAVE OTC and FRENCH.
This may suits someone who is a team lead, manager already in IT with OTC and who fancies the next step up as CIO.
Interviews ASAP - start August - September ideally.
ROLE
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- In-charge of ensuring all applications contributing to the daily running of XXXXXX operate effectively during and outside of business service hours
- Direct management and responsibility for Paris - based XXXXXX IT support team ensuring performance metrics are consistently met,
- Resolution of issues related to production, and coordination of root cause identification and resolution
- Definition of the XXXXXX IT development plan & timeline, ensuring alignment with key business priorities; Drive the continuous improvement of the development cycle reducing defects and time to market.
- Direct management & responsibility for the Paris & London based development teams
- Design and execution of testing plans ensuring no change driven production incident or issues happen.
- Direct management & responsibility for the Paris based Testing and Business Analysis teams.
- Engagement with Operations, Risk, Product, Sales and PMO teams in XXXXX.
- Engagement with, prioritisation & delivery coordination of all non-XXXXXX aligned IT Teams (Market Data Hub, Portal, messaging, Shared Services,...)
- Management and escalation of the IT resource plan & capacity, ensuring delivery as agreed with the stakeholders.
- Definition and execution of IT application & infrastructure strategy in line with firmwide objectives
- Active representation of XXXXXX in Group IT governance forum
SKILLS
Specific qualification
- Proven experience in leading an OTC risk and trade processing IT organisation (Capital markets or buy side).
- Fluency in English. Deep & proven experience of effectively working in an English speaking environment
- Track record of front-to-back IT delivery (from technical analysis to testing through development) in a large, multi-platform, cross-border financial institution.
- Track record of multiple team management across multiple locations (approx 50 persons) and of driving an agenda with direct and indirect ownership of resources.
- Capable of strong technical and architecture leadership.
- Ability to manage effectively conflicting stakeholder agendas.
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in transforming IT organisation (outsourcing, offshoring, vendor management,...)
Technical qualification
- Strong leader in technology, familiar with Java, web services and managed storage techniques in Oracle environment.
- Good understanding of communications technologies (IBM WebSphere, TibCo RV).
- Demonstrated ability to translate business into technical requirements.
- Hands on, able to engage with developers at the code level.
Diplomas and experience
- 5+ years of technical development leadership.
- 5-7 years of IT team management (development, support, testing) across multiple locations.
- Minimum of 3+ year technical degree from a top-tier educational institution.
