Cisco Voice Engineer/3 months/Basingstoke/Banking and Finance

Role Description:

UCCE/CUCM consolidation and a migration

Our client, a multinational investment banking firm are recruiting for a Senior Cisco Voice Engineer to join their EMEA Communication team. You will work on the deployment of CUCM upgrades to v.10.5x, CVP, UCCE consolidation and migration.

Requirements:

  • Technical experience in engineering and implementing enterprise voice and networking technologies within a large Enterprise, preferably some within the Financial Sector.
  • Good appreciation of Voice and Network Security architectures, models and methodologies
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise voice design principles, products and protocols
  • Experience with the management, internetworking design and implementation of networks.
  • Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience of network troubleshooting, performance analysis and testing.
  • Appreciation of neighbouring technologies: Market Data, Voice, Computing and Multimedia
  • Solid communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Solid Project experience (large network deployments and cross-discipline project deliverables)
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of WAN/LAN topologies and protocols, networking technologies. (Ethernet, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, PIM, SNMP, MPLS)
  • Technical Experience:
    • HP/Cisco Routers, Switches, Layer4-7 switching/High Availability,
    • Knowledge of network load balancing, Enterprise QoS
    • VoIP technologies:
      • CUCM
      • Unity
      • CUC
      • CVP, UCCE, CUIC, Finesse
      • Voice Recording technologies - Verint preferred
      • Arc Solutions, Arc Console
      • SIP architecture
      • Session Border Controller design and implementation
      • eGain/Exony 14
    • Dial Plan architecture, design customisation and deployment.
    • Cisco Contact Center Management Information and reporting.
    • Design and implementation of CUBE/SIP trunking
    • Cisco approved virtual deployments and UCS exposure essential
    • Enhancing implementation procedures and support service offerings: 802.1X, PKI infrastructure, SSL certification

Desirable certification:

CCIE Voice, CCNP.
