If you are a Cloud Deployment Engineer with VDI experience I have a great opportunity for you

The role is remote with two days on site with the client who is located in the UK

Job Description:
  • Collaborate with the Cloud Deployment and Solution Architect teams on proof of concepts to assess customer managed environments.
  • Establish standards and governance for deploying and operating client solutions within selected VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) technology.
  • Manage lab environments for testing and validation purposes.
  • Develop and support functionality, configuration, and scalability test plans for database-connected petrotechnical applications within chosen VDI technology.
  • Document test plans, deployment requirements (VM sizing, authentication access, security), and create deployment playbooks.
  • Provide training and mentorship to the Cloud Deployment and Solution Architect teams.
  • Hands-on experience with VDI Technologies, particularly supporting built-in Cloud solutions.
  • Must-have experience with Azure and AWS Cloud Technologies.
  • Must-have expertise with Azure AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop), AWS Appstreaming 2.0 VDI Technologies.
  • Nice-to-have experience with VMWare, Leostream, and other VDI technologies.
  • Proficiency in Cloud Solutions Deployment.
  • Scripting experience with Python, Bash or Node.js, and PowerShell.
  • Working knowledge of RESTful Architecture, Security Principles (OAuth2 & JWT).
  • Familiarity with GitHub, Infrastructure as Code (IaC)/Terraform, and Saltstack.
  • Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) & AWS Cloud technologies is advantageous.
  • Understanding of Cloud Service Models (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (CI/CD), virtualization, and container technologies.
  • Advanced skills in Cloud Infrastructure Deployment, including Firewall & Load Balancing, network switching and routing, backup and disaster recovery, high availability, enterprise and cloud storage management and technologies, databases, and infrastructure.
