Cloud Manager - Functional/Core Network/SOx/Team Management

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Rate: EUR /day
Duration: 6 months Extendable
Responsibility:
*Responsible for leading and managing a team of cloud professionals, by creating a shared vision for the department which will be underpinned by the ITIES strategy, tactical planning and robust objectives, all of which seamlessly integrates with the wider Technology teams.
*Minimum of 3 years experience of people management
*Accountable for effective resource management making sure "keep the lights on" activities are maintained at all times, along with the delivery of new products and services.
*Directly manages assigned employee group permanent and virtual, liaising with other managers regarding staff performance.
*Drive strategy of the cloud platform to meet business needs
*Work across silo's to ensure the most efficient delivery of platforms to the business.
Requirements:
*At least 5 years solid hands-on IT Infrastructure administration. eg System; Network; Database; Office Enterprise; etc administration skills within at least 2 large IT organisations.
*Significant Production large-scale Data Centre experience.
*Team management experience. The team is small so very close working relationships are required
*Industry experience within at least 2 large international organisations, preferably 1 Telco.
*Preferred project management exposure/awareness (certification not required). An awareness of agile (scrum) methodologies would be useful.
*Solid knowledge of audit and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) processes.
*Exposure to any of the following technologies is a plus: Oracle Engineered systems; x86 hardware (stand-alone; blade; building block); Storage & Backup (EMC, NetApp, Hitachi, NetBackup, Avamar); Virtualisation (VMware, OVM); Tooling & Monitoring (DCIM tools, Nagios, BMC CLM, VMware); Network (Cisco, F5); etc
