Description

Für unseren Kunden in Berlin suchen wir im Rahmen eines langfristigen Greenfield Projektes erfahrene Unterstützung als Cloud (Service) Cost Engineer (m/w/d) für Azure und Google Cloud . Die Tätigkeit erfolgt Remote und in der Regel eine Woche für 3-4 Tage pro Monat vor Ort in Berlin oder ggfs. auch. Frankfurt oder München. Je nach Projektphase wird eine Bereitschaft vor Ort von bis zu 50% vorausgesetzt

Anforderungen
• Strong understanding of public cloud services, with a focus on Azure and GCP. Understanding of cloud
providers, platforms and configurations and familiarity with workload usage/consumption patterns on
cloud.
• Good understanding of billing on cloud platforms (incl. impact of usage patterns on TCO)
• Ability to support agile decision making across multiple cloud services, with short-cycle analytics and
problem solving.
• Ability to develop effective reporting schemes/metrics to maintain strong control on usage and billing
of cloud services.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure, cost reporting, and optimization at scale.
• Affinity to Finance with basic knowledge of accounting and controlling.
• Motivated to understand cloud service costs in detail, including discount models.
• Desire to work with new technologies and experience with scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with cloud management tools such as Azure Cost Management, Azure Cost Management &
Billing; Policy; Budgets; Advisor, GCP Cloud Billing Reports; monitoring & reporting tools; and BI tools
like Tableau.
• Hands-on experience with GCP environment (navigating resources, check configuration,
• perform maintenance and configuration tasks, investigate anomalies)
• Experience crafting critical metrics in easily consumable reports.
• Practical knowledge of SQL and experience with large datasets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and in a team on multiple projects.
• Ability to connect with stakeholders at all levels and identify service improvement opportunities. Bring
increased business value through seeing the bigger picture, collaboration, and alignment of diverse
needs.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure, GCP, or FinOps Practitioner.
• Experience in capacity forecasting, financial reporting, and workflow management in a service
operations environment.
• Analytic and conceptual thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core
competencies for the role.

Must Have Anforderungen:
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with public/private cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Good knowledge of Google Cloud (GCP) services
• Expertise in scripting and automating cost and billing reports for at least one public cloud.
• Proficiency in tools such as Azure Cost Management, Azure Cost Management & Billing, Policy,
Budgets, Advisor, and GCP Cloud Billing Reports.
• Experience with capacity forecasting, cloud cost optimization techniques, and Azure services.
• FinOps Practitioner certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field (such as Computer Science, Engineering)
• Fluent English in speech and writing (at least C1)
• Fluent German in speech and writing (at least C1)

Ort: Remote und Berlin ca. 3-4 Tage am Stück pro Monat sowie Bereitschaft bis 50% onsite je nach Projektphase

Laufzeit: Langfristig mit quartalsweiser Beauftragung
