Darwin Recruitment is collaborating with a key governmental entity to recruit an experienced Cloud Solution Architect for their Transition Cloud Services program aimed at modernizing municipal computerization and automation.Assignment Details:
- Location: The Hague, Hybrid (flexibility to work remotely)

Role Overview:
The Cloud Solution Architect will play a dual role in both shaping the cloud vision and implementing robust cloud solutions within a government context. You will be integral to the architectural design, setup, and strategic direction of cloud initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader municipal transformation goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine the Cloud Architecture with a focus on agnostic frameworks in line with Common Ground principles.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and ensure they meet the established architectural standards.
- Champion Cloud and DevOps methodologies within the department.
- Draft and oversee a multi-year application migration roadmap.
- Participate in vendor discussions and support the implementation phase.
- Ensure the quality and coherence of cloud architectures and migrations.
- Foster knowledge transfer to the developing Cloud Center of Excellence.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Degree in higher education with relevant vocational training.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Cloud Architecture design and consultation.
- Strong background in managing Cloud transitions, especially with Azure and AWS.
- Proficient in application development and CI/CD Pipelines in Cloud environments.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with fluency in Dutch & English.
- Minimum 3 years of Agile methodology experience, with at least 1 year in a DevOps setting.
- Previous experience within the Dutch government or municipal sectors is beneficial.
- Knowledge and experience with MS Azure Cloud & tooling hyperscalers.
