Cognos BI Developer/Architect - London - x5 - £40,000 - £70,000 (DOE) - Enticing Package!5 Mid/Senior level Cognos BI Developers/Architect required for an expanding organisation, working on a cutting-edge new project!
Key Accountabilities:
- Requirements gathering and ensure customer requirements are fully understood and adequately captured
- Design and develop IBM Cognos Complex, Standard and ad-hoc reports
- Work on complex reports development, to act as a conduit between IT and the rest of the business
- Ensure standards and best practices are adhered to
- Provide support on reports, access to Cognos systems to the rest of the business
Essential Skills:
- Meta data modelling using IBM Cognos Framework Manager
- Cognos Version 10.x - Report Studio and Query Studio
- Developing reports using relational and multi-dimensional data sources
- Developing Financial reports, Dashboards and Cognos Mobile BI
- Able to present and format data in clear, concise manner to business requirements
- Understanding of databases and data warehouse concepts and functionalities
- IT Systems and Information Architecture knowledge
- Cognos administration and security model implementation
- Good interpersonal and facilitation skills with ability to influence at all levels
- Strong drive for delivering results and continual process improvement
- Strong business acumen
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good statistical knowledge and excellent numeric ability
Desirable Skills:
- Exposure to Microsoft BI Stack, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
- Scorecards development experience is advantageous
Experience:
- Must be experienced in reports development using Cognos 10 including Report Studio and Query Studio - minimum 4 years
- Must be experienced in administering Cognos environments, larger user base and license management - minimum 4 years
