Communications Manager - Brentford - 12Months
GSK has a brilliant contrator opportunity for an experienced and creative Communications Managers manager to join them on a 1 year contract.
This role will be based in Brentford, London.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent writing skills for a variety of media (print, web, broadcast); ability to translate GSK business to internal and external audiences.
Strong experience working with senior executives in planning and executing communications to meet business unit objectives. Well-developed business focus with a working understanding of the pharmaceutical business. Proven ability to work with and interact effectively with all levels of the organization, from the most senior to the most junior levels
Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement communications strategy
Maintain and manage Intranet - Redesign as needed to align to branding/corporate needs
Produce/edit content - Articles, Biographies, Newsletter content
Manage social media - Be active on Yammer, GSK Tube, Blogs etc..
Video/photography - creating and editing, designing graphics (eg using Photoshop)
Support events - eg All Hands, Town Halls, Conferences, Fundraising, Teambuilding
Provide Insights - Gather data on effectiveness of comms and suggest improvements
Support LT members - Lead CH Tech Comms Network; Drive recognition process
Support key programmes and initiatives (eg TechX, Funnovation, Agile)
Ensure alignment with Global Tech Comms and CH Comms Teams
Keep up with latest Communications technology channels and trends
Must have previously supported a Tech/IT group and have some technical background
