Communications Officer - SC Cleared - Government Department - Contract - London
My Client, a Government Department, are looking for a Communications Officer with valid SC Clearance to join their London Headquarters on a 6 month contractual basis.
We are seeking to deploy a Communications Officer to assist with the establishment and delivery of the Programme's communications function, working within the Programme Management Office. The Communications Officer, reporting to the Programme's Senior Communications Officer will need to provide the experience and skills required to support this function and ensure successful delivery of agreed stakeholder engagement and communications planning and associated activity.
Experience:

*MUST HAVE VALID SC CLEARANCE*

Communications and stakeholder engagement experience.

Experienced using a variety of internal communication channels and of working on complex change projects or organisational change.

Experience of working within communications teams and delivery activity. Strong communication skills.

Copy writing ability.

Ability to assimilate, interpret and evaluate information on a wide and complex variety of topics.

Ability to communicate with & influence staff & stakeholders and build relationships across operation & professional boundaries and with partner organisations.

Ability to operate in a complex organisational and political environment.

High degree of computer literacy and competence in the use of Microsoft Office and appropriate project/programme management software.

Flexible, proactive, forward-thinking approach.

Motivated, effective and committed team member, able to work creatively and within tight timescales under pressure.
